We decided to do a report on healthy meals at Rainham School for girls. We interviewed a dinner lady who also cooks and makes the food. |
She says roughly 500 people buy the canteen food; the most popular foods they buy are cakes and sandwiches and the most popular drink is milkshakes. They sell vegetarian dishes, meat dishes and jacket potatoes with fillings. The healthy and unhealthy foods are the same prices. Finally, the dinner lady said all the foods were made on the school site. |

We also decided to interview the students and one of the teachers. Firstly, we interviewed Mrs Sambrook head of Year 8; we asked her how often she eats in the canteen. She said she eats in there every day. |
I love the lasagna and salad, followed by the bread and butter pudding. I think the healthy foods should be cheaper than the unhealthy foods. |
